Find Available JPJ Running Numbers Without the Guesswork
CariPlat is an independent, free search directory for Malaysian vehicle registration numbers — covering both Nombor Pendaftaran Semasa (state running series) and Siri Istimewa (special series releases).
On the official JPJ portal, checking available numbers requires logging in and paging through blocks of 50 numbers at a time with no pattern filters. We index active series daily so you can instantly search and filter across states for auspicious endings, double pairs, palindromes, and low-digit gems — then reserve your chosen number directly on mySIKAP yourself.
Understanding Malaysian Plate Categories
Nombor Semasa (Running Series)
Standard state prefixes (e.g. Selangor BSY, Kuching QAB P, Johor JYG) after the initial tender closes. Available on a first-come, first-served basis at a fixed official price (typically RM 300 + RM 10 service charge) with zero bidding.
Siri Istimewa (Special Series)
Commemorative prefixes released by the Ministry of Transport / JPJ (such as GOLD, MADANI, FFF, VIP). Unsold numbers after the bidding window open for direct purchase on mySIKAP nationwide.
JPJeBid (Live Tender Bidding)
Brand-new series during their 5-day auction window on the JPJeBid app/portal. Once the auction ends, all remaining unbid numbers transition into Nombor Pendaftaran Semasa — which is when they appear on CariPlat.

Frequently Asked Questions • Soalan Lazim (FAQ)
How often is CariPlat updated? / Berapa kerap senarai dikemaskini?
Our catalog is updated daily across all active state and special series. Because plates are purchased continuously throughout the day on mySIKAP, a number listed here may occasionally be taken shortly before our next daily sync.
Can I buy a plate from another state? / Bolehkah beli nombor negeri lain?
Yes / Ya. Any vehicle owner in Malaysia can purchase a running number from any state (e.g. a Selangor resident buying a Kuching QAB P or Penang P plate) and register it to their vehicle nationwide.
What are “Gem Plates”? / Apakah itu “Gem Plates”?
Gem plates are running numbers that match popular patterns — such as 2-digit / 3-digit numbers, palindromes / mirrors (e.g. 5225), double pairs (e.g. 3388), round hundreds (e.g. 5300), or lucky endings (88, 99).
Does CariPlat sell plates or charge a fee? / Adakah laman ini mengenakan bayaran?
No / Tidak. CariPlat is 100% free to use. We do not process payments, hold reservations, or act as a broker. All purchases happen directly between you and JPJ Malaysia.
CariPlat is an independent search tool built for public convenience and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) Malaysia or the Ministry of Transport Malaysia. All registration number availability is provided for informational purposes only and remains subject to real-time allocation on the official JPJ mySIKAP system.
